Nintendo Announces SNES Classic, Includes Previously Unreleased Game

Now you’re playing with super power!

The NES Classic released last year was a huge hit, with gamers (and price scalpers) scrambling to stores to buy it as soon as it hit the shelf. Eventually the systems stopped being made, which lead fans to theorize that a Classic version of the Super Nintendo would be next, and we were right!

Nintendo announced today on Twitter that the SNES Classic would be released On September 29th of this year, and will come with an all star lineup of games including Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda, and more. This line up will also include the never before released Star Fox 2, a direct sequel to the original Star Fox game on SNES. Star Fox 2 was unfortunately completed to close to the release of the N64, and so was never published, but now gamers will have a chance to play what could have been an incredible classic, for the price of $79.99. This system will come out just before the start of the holiday season, so it will be difficult to get ahold of, but if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on it, you’ll have 21 amazing games to enjoy. This system will come with two classic SNES controllers, and will have all the accessories you need to hook it up according to the official Nintendo website. Settle in gang, because now you’re playing with power!
