The hatred is going strong at the moment
Minecraft has been good to Markus Persson, elevating him and his company Mojang to celebrity status due to the massive popularity of the game. This simple game about mining resources and building things is popular with gamers of all ages, spawning millions of dollars worth of merchandise, countless Youtube videos of the game, and generally being a lot of fun for everyone who plays it.
The games massive popularity eventually caught Microsoft’s attention in 2014, prompting the company to buy Mojang from Persson, allowing him to pursue other endeavors. Unfortunately, one of the way Notch chooses to spend his time is by stirring up trouble on Twitter. With 3.8 million followers, anything the former game creator says is bound to get picked apart (as is the norm on Twitter), so whenever Notch shared his thoughts on Twitters current trending subject #HeterosexualPrideDay he came under fire very quickly. Below is his initial Tweet.
Unfortunately, instead of seeing the heat coming, and laying low, Notch decided to continue to defend his statement for the next several hours with anyone who had something to say about it.
